Q. Are UNITAR programmes recognized by the government of Malaysia?
Yes, UNITAR programmes are recognized by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Public Services Department of Malaysia (JPA).

Q. How many semesters are there in one (1) year?
There are three (3) semesters a year; January, June and October.
Q. When can I apply to enroll into UNITAR?
Application is open throughout the year, however our intakes are in January, June and October.

Yes, our Residence Management Department will assist students on accommodation matters.

Q. What is the difference between the conventional learning and distance learning modes?
MQA has granted two types of learning modes to UNITAR, the conventional learning mode and the distance learning mode. Distance learning can be defined as learning at a location away from the main campus. The conventional learning mode of study is only applicable to full-time learning whereas with the distance learning mode, students can be pursuing either full-time or part-time learning.
Q. What is APEL A?
APEL A is the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) and was set under the Malaysian Qualification Framework (MQF). APEL allows individuals to progress with lifelong learning and widens the mobility of student participation and adult learners.

To be eligible, individuals must fulfil the entry criteria outlined by the MoE and take the APEL assessment to determine their level of competency and readiness for enrolment.
