UNITAR’s Doctor in Business Administration online course is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and approved by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

What this means is that students will have access to professional online student services and technology, supportive student-faculty engagement as well as opportunities for coursemate and alumni interactions, among others. There is flexibility in consultation hours with supervisors based on the prior appointments made.

> Course Structure and Grading
Students can opt for either full-time or part-time study when enrolling for the online DBA programme. The duration of the study is a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years (full-time), while it’s a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 8 years (part-time).
The online postgraduate course is 100% coursework with only 5 courses to complete. In other words, there is no comprehensive examination and no final examination. The dissertation is assessed and graded with “satisfactory” or “pass”, “unsatisfactory” or “fail”, which will not be included in the CGPA calculation.
Lessons will also include doctoral seminars to provide industrial perspectives to candidates.

Course information
Entry Requirements
i. A Master’s Degree (Level 7 MQF) in a business or related field as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
ii. A Master’s Degree (Level 7 MQF) in a nonrelated field as accepted by the HEP Senate; subject to having relevant working experience***** and rigorous internal assessment ****; OR
iii. A Master’s Degree (Level 7 MQF) in a nonrelated field as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses ******; OR
iv. Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
v. For international students, achieve a minimum Band 4 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2)**.
** Refer to Surat JPT GS 1000-630 Jld.2 (17) 21 Julai 2022 – Syarat Kompetensi Bahasa Inggeris Kepada Pelajar Antarabangsa for equivalent English language assessments and score.
**** Rigorous assessment to evaluate the suitability of an applicant for a programme through statement of purpose, interview and other methods may cover the following criteria:
- Demonstration of strong business experience, and that you have held significant managerial responsibilities.
- Evidence of any achievements in your professional life, for example, consistently performing at a high level, consistent career progression and any impact that you have had on your organisation.
- Professional skills that you have developed, for example, team work, leadership, problem-solving, negotiating and analytical skills.

***** Experience can be cumulative experience even before acquiring required qualification for a particular level of study. However, the experience must be relevant to the level of study as well as the content.
