UNITAR International University Proudly Presents Its Prestigious 23ʳᵈ Convocation Ceremony 2023

Petaling Jaya, 18 November 2023 – Unlocking the doors that reveal endless opportunities, UNITAR International University (UNITAR) hosted its 23rd Convocation Ceremony 2023 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). The momentous occasion was commenced by the university’s Chancellor, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Mohamed Nizam Bin Tun Abdul Razak, and witnessed by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. Dr. Sahol Hamid bin Abu Bakar.
The graduation ceremony was joined by thousands of proud family and friends who were seen smiling from ear to ear, joyously igniting the occasion to celebrate the culminating success of their loved ones. The hall was ignited with students from education levels including Foundation until Doctorate who took center stage and received their graduate scroll in front of UNITAR’s grand community of representatives.
Recognising leaders of the country, the ceremony also featured the Honorary Doctorate conferment of Yang Berhormat Tan Sri Dato’ Johari bin Abdul, the current speaker of the Dewan Rakyat and Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. Lim Hock San, the Executive Chairman of LBS Bina Group Berhad, both outstanding recipients who transformed the political and property development landscape in Malaysia.
UNITAR International University made it known to highlight high-performing students who have academically excelled throughout their time with the university through several special award recognitions including the Chancellor’s, Vice-Chancellor’s, Best Student, Best Student Industry and Alumni awards. A Posthumous award was also presented to one of its students who has since departed.
As a premier institution with more than 25 years of experience, UNITAR’s graduation ceremony welcomed the presence of more than 40 Adjunct Professors who currently serve as commendable leaders within the workforce from various high-profile organisations including Microsoft Malaysia, SP Setia, AXIATA, Media Prima SIRIM Berhad, among many other industry juggernauts.
“Education does not end at your graduation. Education is a lifelong journey. Learning empowers you to discover new pathways, broadens your global perspective and prepares you to embrace the National Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) innovations now upon us”, said UNITAR Chancellor, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Mohamed Nizam bin Tun Abdul Razak at UNITAR’s 23rd Convocation Ceremony.
