March was a month filled with the joy of giving in observation of Ramadan as well as welcoming thrilling opportunities to empower our students with inspiring workshops aimed at propeling and leading them to greater heights.
In April, we shifted to a higher gear to establish partnerships with global institutions and storm ahead towards phenomenal greatness.

UNITAR International University hosted a heartfelt Iftar Ramadan UNITAR event at our main campus, dedicated to spreading joy and goodwill, particularly among the children of Pusat Jagaan Telaga Kasih Nur Muhammad.
UNITAR’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. Dr. Sahol Hamid bin Abu Bakar and his wife, Puan Sri Dr. Hanizah binti Abd Hamid graciously distributed “duit raya” to the 31 children, selected UNITAR staff and students, symbolising the generosity and spirit of giving that define Ramadan.
This gesture was made possible through the Tabung Zakat Amanah UNITAR, further emphasising the university’s commitment to charitable initiatives.
School of Information Technology (SIT) ITWB2063 Poster Competition
The School of Information Technology (SIT) recently organised a poster competition as part of the ITWB2063 – System Analysis and Design course, providing students with a platform to showcase their creativity and analytical skills.
We were privileged to have our esteemed Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research, Professor Dr. Yap Bee Wah and distinguished industry experts, Mr. Yap Thiam Hoe and Ms. Kalaiarassi Thiagarajah, serving as judges for this competition. Their expertise and insights added tremendous value to the event.
UNITAR Signs Exclusive MoU with O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) India
Spreading education excellence across the globe, UNITAR International University inked a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), India. This momentous occasion took place at UNITAR’s flagship campus in Kelana Jaya and was witnessed by several highly distinguished VIPs from both institutions.

UNITAR Launches Sino-Malaysia “Silk-Road College” Modern Apprenticeship Joint Training Programme
UNITAR International University (“UNITAR”) has partnered with the Jiaxing Nanyang Polytechnic Institute (JNPI) and Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Joint Stock Co Ltd. (Jingxing Holdings Sdn. Bhd.) to introduce a Modern Apprenticeship Joint Training Programme. This collaboration between the parties is set to award students a Diploma in Mechatronics Technology upon completion with an opportunity for employment in Malaysia (Learn More).

Ramadan Food Pack Distribution – 14 March
In conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadan Al-Mubarak, the Student Experience Department in collaboration with Tabung Amanah Zakat UNITAR will distribute Free Meals to the UNITAR students.
