Bachelor of Accounting is a programme that focuses on the principles of accounting and other functional areas of business administration. The programme structure provides an introduction to financial accounting and management, finance as well as business law and statistics, allowing students to develop skills that are fundamental to an organisation.
  • Professional exemptions from ACCA ( Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ) , CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) Australia and ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales)

Programme Entry Requirements
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Bachelor's Programme:
  • Pass MUET Band 2; AND
  • Pass STPM with a minimum Gred C+ (GP 2.33) in any two (2) subjects and credits in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM; OR
  • Pass in STAM with a minimum grade Jayyid and credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM; OR
  • Diploma in Accounting / Matriculation / Foundation or its equivalent; with a minimum CGPA 2.50, and credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM; OR
  • Pass BTEC Level 4 & 5 with credit in 3 subjects at SPM level including Mathematics and pass in English; OR
  • Other qualifications that are recognized by the Malaysian government
  • *Note: Mathematic credit terms at SPM level for candidates (ii), (iii) and (v) can be exempted, if the qualifications comprise of a mathematic subject and the achievement is equivalent to / more than the credit requirement of the subject at SPM level.
  • Applicants into the Bachelor’s programmes (level 6, MQF) through APEL, must be a Malaysian citizen aged more than 21 years of age in the year of application with relevant work experience/ prior experiential learning and passed APEL assessment.

Malaysian students who enroll in UNITAR Bachelor programmes must fulfill the following English proficiency requirements:
  • Students who have a distinction in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are not required to take additional English courses.
  • Students who have credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take additional English courses. (Refer to the table below for placement purposes.)
  • Students who do not have a credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take the English Enhancement Programme before registering for their Faculty courses. (An internal assessment could be arranged with the HOD Language and General Studies.)
  • Students from a different institution are required to apply for exemption if they studied any English courses. (Students are encouraged to attach the syllabus of the courses they have taken in the previous instituition.)
