The Diploma in Interior Design is designed to provide skills of designing the interior of a spaces that can be functional as well as driven out the aesthetic values of the space. In the studio, students use digital and manual means to research and recommend design alterations and renovations that give existing buildings new life.
The studios focus on the aspect of residential design, commercial and institutional design.
The course is 100% project-based which will include on field task to provide the student the real experience of being an Interior Designer. The course is design to educate the student on the practice of both manual and digital drawing with a comprehensive drawing course.
It will develop the student to become an Interior designer which tailor based to the Industry market.
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Diploma Programme :
Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with minimum 3Cs; OR
Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum 3Bs; OR
Pass in IGCSE/O-Level with minimum 3Cs; OR
Pass Certificate (equivalent to MQF Level 3) in relevant field; OR
Pass Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in ARTS and Design Field and pass SPM with minimum 1 credit
Related Technical and Vocational Certificate or equivalent which is recognized by the Malaysian Government, with one year related working experiences OR 1 semester bridging programme; OR
Other equivalent recognition which are recognised by Malaysian Government
Note: Note: Candidates are required to pass the drawing test and interview conducted by UNITAR International University.

Malaysian students who enroll in UNITAR Bachelor programmes must fulfill the following English proficiency requirements:
Students who have a distinction in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are not required to take additional English courses.
Students who have credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take additional English courses. (Refer to the table below for placement purposes.)
Students who do not have a credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take the English Enhancement Programme before registering for their Faculty courses. (An internal assessment could be arranged with the HOD Language and General Studies.)
Students from a different institution are required to apply for exemption if they studied any English courses. (Students are encouraged to attach the syllabus of the courses they have taken in the previous instituition.)
