Foundation Programmes

Flexible Study Admission

• What used to be an unachievable feat is now made possible for individuals to pursue their tertiary education through a minimum requirement of 5 credits in SPM, UEC, O-Levels or other equivalents for UNITAR’s foundation programmes. 

  Students who wish to apply to our university foundation programmes may consult with our education counsellors and apply online based on our academic intakes. The online application is open throughout the year, namely in January, May and September. 
  

UNITAR’s Foundation Bundling

• What is Foundation Bundling? It is UNITAR’s initiative for making affordable foundation courses available in Malaysia. The Foundation Bundling offers a rebate for existing UNITAR foundation students who progress from foundation to bachelor’s degree in the next available intake. In other words, you can study our foundation programme for free when you continue to our bachelor’s degree programme*. 

  The rebate is awarded in the form of a tuition fee deduction from the undergraduate degree course. The tuition fee deduction of the undergraduate programme is evenly spread out across each semester.

UNITAR’s Student Touchpoints

• We have “Faculty-Student Engagement” sessions every semester to provide career guidance for our students. During these sessions, our faculty members will sit down with each student to advise on their next steps. That way, UNITAR students will hit the ground running after graduation.

PTPTN Loan & Scholarships Available

• UNITAR’s foundation tuition fees are one of the most reasonable in Malaysia. However, should you need further financial assistance, you can apply for UNITAR’s various scholarships as well as scholarship programmes offered by the government based on your excellent academic and co-curricular performance. 

  Alternatively, you have the option to apply for government financial aid such as PTPTN. Most foundation programmes in Malaysia are not under PTPTN coverage, but UNITAR’s foundation courses are!
